Consultation & Design
All custom orders begin with a consultation to discuss your vision, budget, timeline, and materials. Once a direction is agreed upon, a non-refundable design deposit—typically credited toward the final purchase—is required to begin.

Lead Time
Custom pieces typically take 3–8 weeks, depending on complexity and material availability. A timeline estimate will be provided during consultation; special stones or busy seasons may require additional time.

Payment & Approval
*Custom Jewelry—For simple customizations such as changing the metal or gemstone, adding engraving, or modifying an existing SHUO design—full payment is required before production begins. You’ll receive updates and images at key stages when applicable, and written approval may be requested before proceeding.

*Bespoke Jewelry—For pieces designed from the ground up, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to begin the design process, including sketches and revisions. The remaining 50% is due before the finished piece is shipped. Because each piece is made specifically for you, changes requested after design approval or once production has begun may incur additional fees.

Returns & Modifications
All custom sales are final and non-returnable. Changes requested after production begins may incur additional fees or extend the timeline.

Shipping & Insurance
Custom pieces are shipped with the same care and options as regular orders. Additional insurance may be added at checkout.
